The Welsh Assembly Government's Gender Equality Scheme sets out how we plan to promote equality of opportunity for women and men in Wales.
Although we have no specific duty in Wales to produce a Gender Equality Scheme (GES), the Welsh Assembly Government wants to be recognised for providing an exemplary service to women and men in Wales by developing strategies and policies that are effective and outcome focused.

We have developed a GES which runs from April 2007 to March 2008, after which we plan to develop a Single Equality Scheme which will combine our equality duties agenda.
