The National Tenant Participation Strategy was published by the Welsh Assembly Government in April 2007. The Strategy details an approach for the social housing sector to improve public services and place people at its centre. The Strategy included an Action Plan with detailed objectives.

These objectives will help to develop national housing policy and assist landlords in developing and delivering tenant participation.

Since Autumn 2008, a steering group has been established to act in an advisory capacity, to assist the Assembly Government achieve its aims and objectives.  This group has assisted in reviewing and updating the Action Plan and Timetable for the National Tenant Participation Strategy.
