The responsibility for policy relating to Forced Marriage rests jointly with the Home Office and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

They have established the Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) whose role it is to provide information and support to victims of forced marriage and provide advice to professionals handling cases.

In Wales, we are taking forward a 3-year Action Plan that outlines a number of ways in which the Welsh Assembly Government can take forward work regarding Forced Marriage and Honour Based Violence in Wales.
