18. Rhondda Cynon Taff Local Service Board

The Local Service Board (LSB) is striving to:

  • Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to add value and facilitate new models of delivery to tackle ‘fundamental and unmet’ challenges from a citizen perspective and ensure an effective whole-system response to the needs of citizens.
  • Strengthen local public sector leadership to tackle the service delivery challenges from a customer/user perspective that can only be addressed by working in partnership.

Recognising the common challenges facing both Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil, joint meetings of the two LSBs  are also held, which given the coterminous boundaries of Police and Health services, is a natural development for us, creating a powerful vehicle for service development.
