Payment of Interest on Overpayments

The Non-Domestic Rating (Payment of Interest) Regulations 1990 provide for the rate of interest, payable with refunds of overpaid rates arising from alterations to the rating list, to be set for any year at one percentage point below The Bank of England’s base rate at 15 March (or next working day thereafter) in the preceding year.
