The latest bulletins on the economy and labour market by economic region in Wales, produced by the Welsh Assembly Government, were released on 31 August 2010 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.

The bulletin includes latest information from a range of sources and covers a variety of time periods. The bulletin will update the statistics previously released on 29 July 2010.

The latest release includes new data for:

  • Claimant Count (July 2010)
  • Job Centre Vacancies (July 2010)
  • Benefit claimants (Feb 2010)

and revised data due to the change in female state pension age for:

  • Claimant count rates (all years)
  • Employment rates, economic inactivity levels and rates (all years)
  • Benefit claimant rates (all years)
  • Business Demography rates (all years)

A summary report is available on the StatsWales website showing data that is available by Local Authority.
