Welsh Index of Market Services, Quarter 1 2012 - Postponed

This Statistical Release initially due to be released on 10 July 2012 has been postponed until 24 July 2012.

Currently the GVA weights contained within the Index of Market Services for Wales have been calculated by apportioning 2008 GVA from SIC2003 to SIC2007. The real SIC2007 GVA weights will be included in the publication of the Index of Market Services for Wales Quarter 1, 2012. This release will also include rebasing the series to 2009=100.

As a result of these changes there will be a delay in the provision of the UK data from ONS which feeds into this release, in line with the publication of the National Accounts Blue Book. As such the next quarter’s release will be delayed until the 24 July.
