This statistical release shows information on waiting times for specified diagnostic and therapy services for the NHS in Wales. Numbers waiting for specific Diagnostic and Therapy Services have been published monthly since February 2006. Waiting list targets for 2007/08 include, by the end of March 2008 the maximum wait for access to specified diagnostic tests will be 14 weeks and for therapy services will be 24 weeks.

  • The number of people waiting more than 14 weeks for specified diagnostic services fell over the month from 4,863 to 4,257.
  • The number of people waiting more than 24 weeks for specified therapy services fell over the month from 2,446 to 2,081.

  • Physiotherapy (Adults, Paediatrics)
  • Podiatry (Routine, Urgent)
  • Arts Therapies (Learning Disabilities, Mental Health)
  • Dietetics (Adults, Paediatrics)
  • Speech & Language Therapy (Learning Disabilities, Adults, Paediatrics, Mental Health)
