NHS Wales Waiting Times: At End April 2009

Statistics on NHS Wales waiting times for admission as an inpatient or day case and for a first outpatient appointment include data for Welsh residents waiting for NHS funded treatment as at the end of April 2009. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 29 April 2009. 

The key points from the latest release are:

• The number waiting over 14 weeks on the inpatient/day case list rose over the month from 291 to 1,051 and the number waiting over 22 weeks rose over the month from 130 to 133 
• The number waiting over 10 weeks on the outpatient list rose over the month from 27 to 572 and the number waiting over 22 weeks fell over the month from 5 to 4. (Excluding Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
