Statistics on GP Referrals received at Welsh NHS Trusts for a first out-patient appointment include data for Wales for the period June 2008 to June 2009. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 1 July 2009.

The key points from the latest release are:

• The number of GP Referrals for a first out-patient appointment received at Welsh NHS Trusts was 66,286 in June 2009
• This is a 15.4% increase compared to June 2008 and a 13.4% increase compared to May 2009

All figures relating to June 2009 are provisional.
