NHS GP Referrals for First Out-patient Appointments, February 2012

Statistics on GP Referrals received at Welsh Local Health Boards for a first outpatient appointment include data for Wales for the period February 2011 to February 2012. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 7 March 2012.

The key points from the latest release are:

• The number of GP referrals for a first outpatient appointment received at a Welsh Local Health Board was 65,578 in February 2012;
• This is a 6.9% increase compared with February 2011 and a 2.3% increase compared with January 2012, at an all Wales level.

All figures relating to February 2012 are provisional.
