UK Statistics Authority website Statistics on ambulance services in Wales include data for November 2012. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 28 November 2012.

The key points from the latest release are:

  • there were more than 34,100 emergency calls, 3.5% fewer than in October 2012; of these, more than 13,900 were Category A (immediately life-threatening) calls;
  • 58.4% (7,927) emergency responses to Category A (immediately life-threatening) calls arrived at the scene within 8 minutes, below the all-Wales target of 65% for the sixth successive month;
  • severe flooding affected parts of Wales in November 2012; it is likely that this will have affected performance.
