The latest National Statistics on waiting times for specified diagnostic and therapy services (see release for details of services included) for the NHS in Wales produced by the Welsh Government were released on 14 March 2013 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.

UK Statistics Authority website Statistics on NHS Wales Diagnostic & Therapy Services waiting times include data for all patients, irrespective of their area of residence, waiting for specified diagnostic & therapy services at Welsh Local Health Boards for the period up to the end of January 2013. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 14 February 2013.

  • the number of people waiting more than 8 weeks for specified diagnostic services rose over the month from 19,181 to 20,154
  • the number of people waiting more than 14 weeks for specified therapy services rose over the month from 2,218 to 2,682
