Overcrowding in Wales: Results from the Living in Wales Survey 2007
The latest National Statistics on Overcrowding in Wales produced by the Welsh Assembly Government were released on 4th February 2009 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Statistics on Overcrowding in Wales include data taken from the 2007 Living in Wales survey, which is an annual Welsh household survey.

The key points from the bulletin are:
- In 2007, the average number of people per household in Wales was 2.38.
- In 2007, 1.9 per cent (23,000) of households failed the bedroom standard measure of overcrowding. Of those that failed, 87 per cent were vulnerable households.
- The percentage of households that failed the bedroom standard measure went up very slightly from 1.8 per cent of households in 2004, to 1.9 per cent in 2007.
