  • Overall, household numbers across all the National Park Authority areas are projected to increase up until 2026, before decreasing slightly.

Private Household Population

  • The projected private household population in the National Park Authority areas as a whole is projected to decrease between 2006 and 2031, although for Brecon Beacons National Park it is expected to increase between 2006 and 2016.

Average Household Size

  • Average household size is projected to be lower for the National Parks in Wales than for Wales as a whole.

Households by Type

  • By 2031, one person households are projected to become the most common household type for all National Parks in Wales.
