Natural Resources Wales

Natural Resources Wales brings together the work of the Countryside Council for Wales, Environment Agency Wales and Forestry Commission Wales, as well as some functions of Welsh Government. Their purpose is to ensure that the natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, enhanced and used, now and in the future.

Business in the Community Wales

Business in the Community is a business-led charity. It has a growing membership in Wales. It also has members from over 850 companies across the UK, from large multinational household names, small local businesses, and public sector organisations. It aims to advise, support and challenge members to create a sustainable future for all and to improve business performance. Its members work to define what responsibility looks like in the:

  • workplace;
  • marketplace;
  • community; and
  • the environment; and

to share what they learn about improving performance through responsible business practice.

The Carbon Trust is a leading catalyst for delivering energy efficiency and carbon management in organisations and businesses in order to achieve sustainable carbon emissions reductions in Wales.

Centre for Alternative Technology

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) aims to inspire, inform, and enable people to live more sustainable. CAT provides a visitor centre, free information service, educational and consultancy services.

Constructing Excellence in Wales

Constructing Excellence in Wales spreads best practice across the construction industry in Wales and to encourage the whole supply chain to adopt the ideas set out in the Latham and Egan reports.

Sustrans is a UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more every day journeys. They work with families, communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people can choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys.

Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP)

The programme helps individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more, making better use of resources and helping to tackle climate change. The site contains tools to aid the design, specification, procurement and delivery of resource efficient buildings with the minimum of waste.
