Details of the tourism investment support scheme, including information on eligibility criteria and how to apply.

Visit Wales has drawn up a framework strategy for the development of the tourism industry in Wales. This strategy, ‘Achieving Our Potential’ sets out an ambitious vision for tourism in Wales.  The vision is based on a more customer-responsive, innovative, sustainable and profitable industry. To assist the industry achieve this vision, we are able to offer financial assistance to tourism operators/developers who undertake investment in line with our development priorities and who meet our eligibility criteria.

The Tourism Investment Support Scheme (TISS) is open for both existing and new tourism businesses in Wales.  Support is available for the purpose of upgrading the quality of facilities and increasing capacity where there is a gap in the market. We are also encouraging businesses to show how aspects of the planned development will directly benefit energy efficiency or environmental improvement.
