Airports and air services have a vital role to play in the development of the Welsh economy.

We are committed to developing a dynamic and forward-looking economic infrastructure for Wales and supporting our aviation and aerospace sectors.

Aviation Policy is reserved to the UK Government. We work with the Department for Transport (DfT) on matters relating to aviation policy concerning Wales. The Transport (Wales) Act 2006 (Paragraph 11) provides the Assembly with the powers to give financial assistance for air transport services in Wales.
