This is the fifth annual report on the Welsh Assembly Government's performance against the commitments contained in Iaith Pawb, the National Action Plan for a Bilingual Wales, and the Welsh Assembly Government's Welsh Language Scheme.

Iaith Pawb sets out how we will achieve our vision of a truly bilingual Wales, and includes over 60 specific actions across a number of policy areas.

The Welsh Language Scheme is a statutory document prepared under the Welsh Language Act 1993 and the Government of Wales Act 2006. It explains how we will treat the English and Welsh languages equally through our policies and the services we deliver.

This report is based upon evidence collected during 2007-08.
